Training Philosophy

One of the most important things to us when it comes to training horses is patience. Every horse is an individual. Individuality amongst horses seems to be something that is easily forgotten and leads to the idea that they can all be trained the same within the same time frame. At BDH, we put a start on each horse at their own pace both mentally and physically so that they get the best possible chance to shine for their future homes. We do not offer any of our youngsters until the age of three as we have chosen to put a start on each one ourselves to ensure that we give them a slow and solid start. From newborn on, our horses are handled with great care and patience as we learn who each one is as an individual so that we can be 100% confident in helping you match yourself with your next partner. Exposure to as many disciplines and life scenarios is a goal of ours with each baby as these horses will be able to go on to do whatever you may choose to do with them.
